Putting Words To Paper
What You Mean To Me
Love – You love me, even though I don’t deserve it.
My Comforter – When anxiety gets the best of me, even when doing basic tasks such as washing the dishes or scanning a file, in those moments of paralysis, you comfort me and tell me to breathe and I breathe.
My Hope – Even though I struggle to understand and that uncomfortable feeling of confusion and uncertainty gnaws at me, I somehow draw hope from you at all times.
My Safety Net – When my emotions spiral out of control and the silence screams at me, you protect me from the hands of death.
My Father – I have a father but have never known a Father’s love. In moments, when I have given in and the guilt threatens to destroy my mind, I feel your embrace and think, maybe, just maybe, this is a father’s love.
I once was lost but now I am found. Thank you for loving my imperfections. Thank you for holding me when I fall apart.
