Watch your Now or miss the lesson!

I have experienced seasons that I describe as the wilderness; consisting of having very little and feeling lost.

In this season, I have asked God to deliver me and to give me more. And whenever I have entered another season, I do the same.

This time I found myself back in a season bareness. Financially strained and emotionally exhausted, I prayed for deliverance and for more from God again. But this time, I heard God scolding me.

“How do you know you can handle more? Why are you rushing to move on so quickly? Can you not see that I am giving you rest in this season. I need you handle what you have now. Make it count so that you will not grow weary when I give you more in the next season.”

And then I realised that I was so busy asking for an upgrade to the next level that I lost sight of what God was doing for me within my current season.

It is so easy to be focused on what is next that you miss the lessons to be learned where you stand.

My prayer – God teach me to be patient within current season. Let me fully immerse myself in you and not be blind to the lessons you have prepared for me. Teach me to be obedient and content in this season so that I will be stronger to move to the next. In Jesus’ name Amen.
